Something for the fans... Here's the bug with my old Mac Plus, autographed by the late Mr. Adams at a promotional event for Starship Titanic. He seemed to get a kick out of signing it, and mentioned that being a dedicated Mac user, he didn't even own a computer capable of playing the new (at that point PC only) game he'd written.
It's been awaiting an aquarium conversion, to house some little yellow fish of course. In tribute to The Great Procrastinator himself, this project has been delayed for something approaching 5 years at this point.

The bug's current resting place... ...out in the unfashionable Western sinuous arm of the Lake Travis hill country. It'll be a nice bonus find for whoever tackles these caches next.

And one more... The much less common Lace Cactus. Short, pretty and fairly delicate, one must take care not to catch them underfoot. When they're in bloom, the tops shoot out gorgeous purple flowers.

More of the greenery Also plentiful around Lake Travis are pencil cacti. These are actually much worse than the prickly pears, as their short spines are barbed at the tips which can leave annoying splinters when removed. A plant that only a Vogon could love.

Indiginous prickly green things... The bug hangs out on a particularly large Prickly Pear cactus laden with fruit. These things form a veritable maze around some of the Texas Don't Panic caches, with many specimens over 4 feet tall.
