Cruising along the Beachline Expressway Opened 1967 as “Bee Line” & now is the Martin B. Anderson (former Orlando Sentinel publisher) “Beachline” expressway. 41-mile toll road moves east from Interstate-4 exit 72 in Orange County to US Route-1 in Brevard County at Cocoa.

Visiting Orlando, Florida History dates back to 1838 & the height of the Seminole Wars & was incorporated in 1875. Basketball’s Orlando Magic calls the city home court. Once known solely for cotton, cattle & citrus industries; now a leading worldwide vacation destination.

Lodging near Orlando International Airport The 2nd busiest airport in FL, 13th in the US and 29th in the world by passenger traffic. Formerly known as McCoy AFB until closure and all Air Force flight operations ceased in early 1975. You were in a TB hotel nearby that caters to this airport.

Traveling along Florida's Interstate-4 From the day President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956, the Interstate System has been a part of our culture. The 1st I-4 segment opened 1959. Current route completed in 1971, 132 miles - Tampa to Daytona Beach.

Traveling on FL state road-33 The 57-mile state road runs north from Lakeland in Polk County at US Route-92 to Okahumpka in Lake County at US Route-27. Much of the road traverses through mostly rural farmland north of Interstate-4 exit 38.
