A Canadian was here... Lake Wanaka Canuck cache was placed by two Canadian cachers on their honeymoon, so we had to take this Canadian TB there for a visit ;).

Hawea River - the cache is on the island. A duck followed me out of the water!

Sawpit at Makarora Bush, Otago NZ in the 1860s Otago gold rush timber was cut here, then floated down Lake Wanaka and the Clutha River to the Dunstan goldfield (Alexandra). You can see the saw still stuck in this log being sawn.
