Right at the precipice of the Niagara Falls It feels as if the world drops right off the map. Thunderous and majestic! The geocoin enjoyed the action!!

Mountain bike trails in Ste Adele, Quebec. The visited cache is on trails that are loved by mountain bikers and trail runners alike. I found this cache when I got separated from my running group! It is not a commonly visited cache, so it was not a suitable drop off. The mountains here are not big - Europeans would call them little hills - but they are much older!!!

Trail race in Ste. Adele, Quebec. The visited cache is in a town just north of me in the Laurentians of Quebec, Canada. It has trails that I love to run, along with mountain bike trails and a ski hill. The mountains here are 1.1 billion years old, so they have very rounded profiles.

The geocoin rode with me along this bike path. In my area, we have easy access to two main bike paths built on old railway lines, with a total of over 200 km through the lower Laurentians. Our system in Quebec isn't nearly as amazing as the one in Switzerland, and we have lots of evil blackflies and deerflies to content with, but it is pretty good nonetheless!

Lake in Laurentian Mountains in Quebec, Canada A lake near my home about an hour north of Montreal, Quebec, viewed through the bridge railings near the cache along a bike path. The Laurentian mountains are 1.1 billion years old.

Giant Whirlpool downstream of Niagara Falls. This place marks a hairpin turn in the Niagara River. Upstream from here are huge standing waves. Truly impressive. No mountains though!!
