GeoTM (Theresa) at Yowah Bluff with Jim Yowah is a tiny opal-mining town. There is a Bluff nearby and Jim is pictured here at the Yowah Compass which points to many cities around the world.

Jim with GeoAJ at Thargomindah Thargomindah was the third town in the world to have hydro-powered street lighting after London and Paris. This photo was taken out the front of the power plant, which is now just a tourist attraction as the town has been connected to mains power.

Jump-Up country, Sturt's Stony Desert One of the views from a road (4WD track) we drove along. Jump-Ups are geological formations that are widespread in this area. Sturt's Stony Desert is named after the explorer Charles Sturt and the Stony part of the name is rather obvious!

GeoTM, the cache & Jim at The Boot Tree This cache GC29W1Y The Boot Tree is literally in the "middle of nowhere". GeoTM (Theresa) is holding the cache and the TB and wearing a fly-net hat which is an almost mandatory piece of kit in the outback due to the thousands of bush flies.

GeoBeast & AJTMB's portable house This is the rig that Jim has been travelling in for the past few weeks. This photo is at the "Dog Fence" which is over 5500km long and at this point is the border between the states of New South Wales and South Australia at Cameron Corner.
