Amsterdam. Standing on the roof of NEMO Science Museum, Happy Hippo admires the replica of VOC-ship “Amsterdam”. The original ship stranded near Hastings on its maiden trip in 1749. Crew and cargo were saved, though, and archeological investigations of the wreck in the 1980s revealed interesting new information.
