B.E.R. at Danby Castle Danby Castle occupies a commanding position on the far slopes of Danby Rigg. It was built in the 14th century for Lord Latimer as a sign of his great wealth and was a pioneering architectural design in its day combining defense with comfortable living. The castle was once the home of Catherine Parr before she became the sixth wife of Henry VIII. The castle is a working farm today and part of the building is a farmhouse. Danby Court Leet regularly meet in the Castle’s courtroom. (www.visitnorthyo

BER with the Transporter Bridge, Middlesbrough. Built in 1911 under a 1907 Act of Parliament, the Transporter Bridge, which spans the River Tees, reflects the dynamic industrial heritage of the area. It is capable of carrying 600 people at a time. You drive or walk into a cradle that is suspended beneath the main span of the bridge and which carries its load of cars and pedestrians across the River Tees some 160ft above the river in just two and a half minutes. It even featured in the film 'Billy Elliott'.
