Purple Froggy at the Uskmouth wetlands These wetlands were constructed as a compensation area for the loss of wading bird habitat when Cardiff Bay was formed. The area has large lagoons and extensive areas of reed, which are no use to waders, but lots of other wildlife is in evidence. At the moment, swans seem to be thriving here.
