Tour des Echevins - Luxeuil-les-Bains - France This tower was built in the second half of the 15th century by Henri Jouffroy, second son of Perrin, brother of the Cardinal. Originally rented, it was acquired in 1552 by the town's notables to house communal functions. A flagship of the luxovian civil heritage, it rises on four floors, with a beautiful lateral staircase of 146 steps, leading to an octagonal tower. Today it's a museum which is one of the oldest in France (1673).
