If you don’t visit the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, did you even come to Vegas? Amongst all of the great things to do in Las Vegas, this is easily the best way to make your friends jealous. People have been visiting the sign basically since its placement in 1959. Fun fact: the sign didn’t have a designated parking lot or a place for visitors to strike a pose until 2008. The name of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, is derived from its shape, which resembles the hump and head of a kneeling camel. The mountain, a prominent landmark of the Phoenix metropolitan area, is located in the Camelback Mountain Echo Canyon Recreation Area between the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix and the town of Paradise Valley. The Prescott National Forest is a 1.25 million-acre US National Forest located in north central Arizona in the vicinity of Prescott. The forest is located in the mountains southwest of Flagstaff and north of Phoenix in Yavapai County, with a small portion extending into southwestern Coconino County. The Prescott Forest Reserve was established by the General Land Office on May 10, 1898. It was transferred to the U.S. Forest Service in 1906 and became a National Forest on March 4, 1907.

A trip to Ames is not complete without getting a photo taken with at least one of them! Get in the CYCLONE spirit with CY! This one called “Celebrating 150 years of Town and Gown” with a variety of City and University symbols was presented to the City of Ames as a sesquicentennial anniversary gift by the Ames Chamber of Commerce.
