26 Apr 06 View Image TB at GP small.jpg 16 Jul 05 View Image Philadelphia Church Despite its name, its in Oak Ridge NJ. Unusual in that it doesn't look at all like a church. It appears to be an old restaurant or night club that was converted into a church. Which is the opposite of what is seen often around here with old churches being turned into nightclubs and restaurants. The sign is shiny and new. The church itself is rather rundown. 16 Jul 05 View Image Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church Built in 1818 and still in use. Its surrounded by a large and very old cemetery 16 Jul 05 View Image St Thomas RC Church A fairly large Roman Catholic church in (or near) Oak Ridge NJ

That's me on the front steps holding the Hexam Abbey TB. 2 Jul 05 View Image Dutch Reformed Church of Sandyston This church was founded in 1737 and this building was erected in 1838. It is not used today as it and all the homes in the region were purchased by the US government in the 1960's so the area could dammed and flooded for a reservoir. Environmentalists protested and the government backed off and was stuck with all these homes, stores and churches, many of which are now decaying. That's my wife, Skigirl43, standing on the ramp with the Hexam Abbey Tbug.
