The Japanese Bell and Bell Tower After typhoons in 1959 severely damaged crops, homes, and farmlands of the Yamanashi prefecture in Japan, citizens of Iowa generously sent breeding hogs and feed corn to aid that district. This program began a friendship culminating in a sister-state relationship, the first of its kind between the United States and Japan. Ben's Racer I’m racing my Dad from Michigan to any cache in California, then back to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since this is a road race, air travel is not allowed. I should be placed in a cache in each state as I travel through it. Thanks for the adventure.
