A boat plane on Lake Union Taken near the cache we dropped it off in. Many planes pass over here.

Note the tail wheel. I was surprised at seeing this little tail wheel, but then I remembered hearing that this jet rose so quickly that they had to put this wheel here to prevent the back of the plane from scraping the runway!

The back of the wing. Hmm. I thought I had a picture of the wing, but apparently I didn't get it after all. I walked towards the back of the SST, and pressed the lens of the camera through the chain-link fence to try to get a shot of the back of the wing and the engines.

Ah, much better. OK -- in this shot you can read "British Airways" and see the Travel Bug. Of course it's dark. Perhaps I should have used the flash. Oh well, they say that hindsight is always 20-20.

See the Travel Bug? Oops. This shot didn't turn out too well. [:(]

The SST. OK. The SST is currently located to the North of the Museum proper. As you can see from this picture, it is entirely surrounded by a chain-link fence. I'm told that folks *can* actually board the plane until 4 PM.
I was surprised at hos small this airplane looks. I guess I was expecting a much larger jet.

Third warplane. This is the third warplane. It is the Eastern-most plane out here. No, I don't know the model name of any of these planes.

Second warplane. This warplane is to the East of the first one. You can see the third one on the right side of the picture, too.

War plane 1. The parking lot is on the South side of the Museum, and as you walk toward the entrance you'll probably notice these three old warplanes out on the lawn in front of the museum. This is the first of three, on the West end.

In front of the Museum of Flight The sun was getting rather low in the sky, and I was hard pressed to find a place to get a decent shot of the Museum's name, but unfortunately the TB is rather dark.
