13 Sep 15 View Image Another Guardrail This was a fun guardrail though! The CO put some care in the write-up and hid a cute container …. If you are going to do guardrails, this is the way they should be done. 13 Sep 15 View Image I Get It Now I wasn't quite getting the cache name; after seeing the container, I get it now! 13 Sep 15 View Image Country Road Not as scenic as the first stop 1.5 miles up the road, but at least here the shoulder was wider. 13 Sep 15 View Image A Scenic Stop Despite the shoulder being no wider than the car, at least this was a scenic guardrail stop.
12 Sep 15 View Image Stage 2 Coords Are Off While in Scranton, PA, I worked on nabbing a multi-cache …. The Stage 2 coords were 50' off; luckily previous finders had left enough clues in their logs to help me make the find and earn the smiley! 5 Sep 15 View Image Ode to The Office While Mr. SeeKPeeKRs drove the 4 and 1/2 hours to Scranton, PA, I solved a puzzle. The final coords took me to the back of an office complex that had this interesting sculpture in the parking lot. 12 Sep 15 View Image What I Found When I first arrived at GZ, I found 1/2 of the container with the log barely staying put; when I went to replace the half a cache I had, I spotted the other half of the container …. I put everything back together and happily went on my way. 12 Sep 15 View Image Maid of the Mist Yay! I finally got a chance to ride the Maid of the Mist to the foot of Niagara Falls …. Totally cool!
12 Sep 15 View Image Scranton Lace Company This was the reason Mr. SeeKPeeKRs and I came to Scranton, PA. The abandoned factory looked so interesting, I was tempted to give up caching for the day just to wander around taking pictures. 12 Sep 15 View Image First Find of the Day As Mr. SeeKPeeKRs and I made our way to Scranton, PA, we stopped for a break …. I was lucky to find not 1 but two, yes 2 (!!), caches in the rest area. A cute container just a few hundred feet from civilization. 12 Sep 15 View Image Watkins Glen Cemetery This was a very interesting place - a place I would not have visited except for geocaching. 12 Sep 15 View Image Interesting Sign (3) …. And …. The site included a veterans' memorial.
12 Sep 15 View Image Interesting Sign (2) The boathouses were on the same pier as the information sign to claim the virtual. They were quite picturesque. 12 Sep 15 View Image Interesting Sign (1) This was a really neat virtual. There was a lot going on in one small spot of land. 12 Sep 15 View Image Be Careful This sign says it all. 12 Sep 15 View Image Canadian Virtual Cache 2 hours in Canada netting 4 caches - 2 traditionals, 1 virtual, and 1 earthcache. A fun, fun morning before spending the rest of the day at Niagara Falls State Park across the border in the good ol' U.S. of A.
12 Sep 15 View Image Mrs. weatherguessers & Mrs. SeeKPeeKRs A selfie after finding our 1st (!!) Canadian cache. 12 Sep 15 View Image Some Trickery Along with finding "With A Little Help From A Friend In New Zealand" (GC5MP7F), TBfreed and I found a few other caches with some being a little more devious than others. The one pictured was a lot of fun. 12 Sep 15 View Image The Zoo It's always nice to complete a series, and completing a FUN series is extra nice! This cache was the perfect way for the SeeKPeeKRs to earn the final two Road Trip 2015 souvenirs. 12 Sep 15 View Image Guardrail? Stop Sign? When there isn't enough time in the day, one has to thank The Daymudes for hiding the same thing over and over and over again. 99% of TD wherigo caches are guardrail hides;, if it isn't in the end, then it's at the nearest white reflector.
