Our second last day on the Camino Frances. Time has flown by. Hard to believe. We will do the route to Fisterra now, and then head back to Canada next weekend. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

We had about an hour of rain today, which is only the second day of our Camino that it has rained. Feeling pretty blessed about that. We also counted our blessings when we came across an older couple using one of the old stone water tanks to wash their clothes. Our task with warm water or a machine is so much easier. Today we passed the 100 km to Santiago marker. Big celebration by our ‘group’, especially since one of them broke her arm yesterday in a trip and fall. The orthopaedic surgeons made the decision not to operate, so this morning we all held our breath as we set out hoping she would be OK. We all shared the load and the day went well. Today we walked from Cacabelos to Trabadelo by the more natural route. It was very beautiful but hard work, especially the stretch from Villafranca to Trabadelo. We did not see any pilgrims until we arrived at Trabadelo. This was the quietest day on the Camino for us. Getting to the best places requires the most work. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Another beautiful day on the Camino. We took the alternate route for the better part of the journey to Carrion de Los Condes. Half of the way we had the trail to ourselves. Peaceful and quiet. Part of any endeavour is to have time to reflect and contemplate where we have been and what we have seen. God has been so good to us to give us this time. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

It was a beautiful day for the walk to Castrojeriz. Along the way we passed some very tall dried thistles. Not only could they drown out any other plants from living they could easily hide me. Gotta control the weeds in our lives too. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app
