Schleuse Neckarzimmern und Hornberg 2.jpg Hornberg Castle is the home of Götz von Berlichingen (1480 - 1562), the knight with the iron fist and famous for a specific statement which I do not repeat here to avoid being eliminated from the Geocaching Society ;-)
He lived 45 years in this castle - not always volontarily. As captain of the farmers in the 1525 farmer revolution he chose the wrong side and was ordered later to spend 12 years in house arrest in his castle.
