Mount Rainier Mount Rainier is my favorite mountain in the Pacific Northwest. The picture really doesn't do it justice. It is huge!!! The mountain is 14000 feet tall and was taller before an eruption removed the cap (before my lifetime).

Our group Half of the hike up Mount Rainier is across a snowfield. This makes for a slippery hike up but a fantastic slide down! (Two plus miles of sledding!). The picture contains another volcano (Jefferson or Adams?). The handsome fellow in orange is Booger!

GeoNap and GeoDiva for humanclock.com This picture will be submitted to humanclock.com (check it out, it is amusing). I have included it because HotSpur was making such a fuss while I was taking this picture. Perhaps it is because the mountain in the background is the erupted Mount Saint Helens (this did occur in my lifetime and I have vivid memories of wearing masks so I could go outside and ride my bike with my friend.)
