Coral The lagoon is a nice, calm place to swim due to a protective ring made out of coral. When pieces of coral break off of the reef, they make their way to the beach. This is a good place to have sandals!

Kayaks Almost all of the beaches have kayaks that people use to paddle around the lagoon. The lagoon is the protected area between an outer ring of coral and the inner island. To read more about what makes this lagoon, take a look at the cache listing for the Tilted Atoll that Kitty's Sandals visited while on Aitutaki.
