Another group shot at the beach A lot of surfers were heading home about the time we showed up. Scripps Institute of Oceanography, the University of California, San Diego, and Torrey Pines Golf course are down the beach to the right from here, and up on the cliffs above the beach.

On the wall at La Jolla Shores Beach We're at the beach! This popular beach is a busy place, even in the evening, with the sun setting. High Heel Helen at the beach First stop in San Diego was at Windansea Beach. It's a famous beach in La Jolla, just North of San Diego. It's famous among skilled surfers because of the consistently well formed surf, usually higher than nearby surf. The palm covered surf shack is an icon on the beach.
