CITO 2021 Season 2 Souvenir I earned the Cache In Trash Out CITO 2021 Season 2 souvenir by creating, hosting and attending this CITO Event in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! Every time we CITO we work to create a better world. Whether we pick up trash at a park, plant trees, paint over graffiti, or build insect hotels for pollinators—we build community with our geocaching neighbors and we leave our incredible geocaching gameboard better off than how we found it.

GIFF 2021 Souvenir I earned this souvenir by watching the 2021 Geocaching International Film Festival reel and discovering the trackable code displayed in the reel. From finding new favorite places, people, and puzzles, geocaching is full of moments that should be captured on film and shared with the geocaching world. The GIFF 2021 reel contained an hour of carefully selected finalist films made by geocachers, for geocachers. It was great to participate in GIFF 2021 and to be rewarded with this virtual souvenir!

International Geocaching Day 2021 Souvenir Happy International Geocaching Day! Starting in 2011, every year on the third Saturday of August is the day to celebrate geocaching and geocachers worldwide. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the first International Geocaching Day. I earned this souvenir by finding and logging "Cowboys South of the Green Wall" cache on our arrival in Cortez, CO on August 21, 2021.

Vinson Basecamp Souvnir Mount Vinson is the tallest mountain on the continent of Antarctica with a height of 16,050 feet above sea level. Climbers typically climb Vinson during December and January, which is summer for Antarctica although temperatures that time of year are usually around -20°F. I collected 325 points by finding the "Too Tough to Quit" cache on my visit to Manitou Springs, CO and earned this Vinson Basecamp souvenir as part of the Reach the Peak challenge.

Kansas State Souvenir Kansas is at the center of the contiguous United States. Tornadoes are a real problem in this state, and while they may be able to whisk one away to Oz, there is no place like home. This souvenir was designed by Roxxy G. who is a Groundspeak Lackey. In her free time she likes to travel and meet new people. When she’s not happily making artwork for cachers everywhere, she designs and crochets small monsters. I earned this virtual souvenir by finding this creative cache, my first in Kansas.

Elbrus Basecamp Souvenir Mount Elbrus is the tallest mountain in Europe with a height of 18,510 feet above sea level. Mount Elbrus stands out from the other six mountains in Reach the Peak because it technically has two summits. The two peaks sit high atop the Caucasus Mountains in southern Russia, where the volcanic mountain attracts mountaineers from all over the world and also offers year-round skiing. I earned the Elbrus Basecamp souvenir by finding Hatcher Creek cache in Apex, NC today.

International EarthCache Day 2021 Souvenir The first EarthCache was created in Australia in 2004. Since then, nearly 40,000 EarthCaches have been published in 210 different countries! The souvenir image illustrates folding of sedimentary rock. All of the curving twisted layers were originally flat, but were compressed and warped by slow and powerful processes, such as the movement of tectonic plates pushing against each other. I earned this virtual souvenir by claiming the Oakwood Cemetery Earthcache in Raleigh, NC today.

Soldier Troop Cache Got FTF here at this cache located at the south end of Bass Lake in Fuquay-Varina, NC. It was a real chore to get to it; the D/T rating reflected that and were accurate and fair.
