Ok. So. Needed to perform surgery on this little guy.
Was in the Station forest fire in Angeles Forest, in 2009 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Station_Fire_(2009) ) where it sat for 10+years before cache was refound.
Everything had melted and was destroyed in cache, accept for the travel bug tag that I found (cleaned it up a bit with some steel-wool).
I gave it new live. No longer with the SpongeBob key chain (it melted) … but with something else in the cache.
