23 Jul 11 View Image Dora This is Dora, she is our non Humane Society rescue, she was rescued from a kill shelter, then fostered by us. We had to overcome some aggression issues, so she ended up staying with us for awhile. That was nine years ago... 23 Jul 11 View Image Jochie with a shave Jochie, our old man, was about eleven in this pick. We had him shaved one summer. 3 Jul 11 View Image JACK The old man of the house. Give to us by a friend. Great dog just sheds to much. He turn 8 on the 4th of July well we think that about right. So he's our pound puppy. Happy Jack. 3 Jul 11 View Image Kitten We have raised this one with a bottle. Came to us in a dogs mouth and no mother right at Easter. No Name because we can't keep it. 20 Dec 10 View Image Sandy and Emily's Humane Society of York County Just a photo of the coin. It is so cool! Thanks for letting me take it on some travels and share my pets!! 20 Dec 10 View Image Cargo the dog Cargo was the most recent dog I have fostered. I actually found him as a stray after one of our adoption events. The organization I volunteer with agreed to sponsor Cargo, once we found we couldn't find his owners. We suspect he was dumped, but I don't know why. This dog was absolutely awesome, a shepherd rottie mix (probably) after nursing his wounds, getting him neutered, up to date on his shots, and microchipped, I found a fabulous family with an acre and kids and another dog. Cargo got a new 20 Dec 10 View Image Dakota the Maine Coon mix cat Dakota was adopted from an animal shelter in Santa Clara, California. She is 'my' baby. And my buddy. She can be very hateful, or very loving, depending on her mood. Wouldn't give her up for the moon! 20 Dec 10 View Image The chickens meet the coin What the heck is that? Can we eat it? WigWam and Donald Trump (she has a comb-over!) were not rescues. They were bought as chicks and are barred rock hens and live in our backyard. Chickens are cool pets, lots of personality. Now if they would only start laying again......
20 Dec 10 View Image Princess with the coin We adopted Princess, a tortie cat about 7 years ago from a local rescue in Northern California. Though she mostly hides out and eats, she is one of many in the house. We got lucky finding her out and about this day and was able to take her photo! 20 Dec 10 View Image My big mutt (shepherd mix?) Chester He is what got me started in fostering dogs. I saw his pic on Craigslist as in need of rescue before he was to be put down. Drove all the way across town, 40 minutes, wondering what the heck I was doing. It was meant to be. I ended up fostering and then adopting him myself and then joining the group who had listed him. I am up to 9 fostered dogs and cats now, including him, that I have cared for. 20 Dec 10 View Image Modoc my 13 year old lab mix Adopted from a Santa Clara county shelter in California when she was about 1 year old. She didn't really want to have her photo taken, she would rather take a nap! 20 Dec 10 View Image Arizona's Ghost Airfields No. 4 cache 12/18/10
