Seattle Washington. Geocache HQ.
Of all the places in the world that Geocache HQ could be, guess where it is? Seattle!
I took off work and am doing a driving trip North for a visit and I’m rather excited about it. They have a store and visitor center (requires tickets, which are free) and some Corporate Caches in the area. Should be another fun outing.
This corporate cache is located opposite the picture frame with my trackables. It’s hidden under a fake rock. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Olympia Washington, Priest Point Park.
Nice park with large old growth trees and waterfront. The trackables are pictured with the Capitol in the distance. This cache was a Tupperware container under some driftwood. It’s off to the left and about 75’ behind me. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Steilacoom Washington
This was probably one of the coolest caches I have ever seen! It earned a favorite point from me (I would give it several if I could). My trackables are pictured on the host-an actual fire hydrant. The top pivots open to reveal a chamber after turning a hidden screw. To top it all off, it’s beside a train track and has beautiful views. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Lacey Washington.
Brand new cache in a nice little park. I wasn’t FTF, but I did make number 4. The trackables are pictured on the host. Cache itself is a magnetic around back on the support post. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Olympia Washington
I have a long, linear string of happy faces along the bike trail that starts near here. I had just completed the line a few weeks ago. This cache required I come back at the opportune time. The tides here are over 20 vertical feet! It’s hidden down the hill and to the left about 75’ away. It’s a water can on a bungee cord in a tree. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

This cache is near the parking lot just outside the airport. It’s hidden in the post behind the reflector. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Anchorage Alaska. Ted Stevens Airport. Inside security. Main concourse. I thought this made a nicer picture then another one from inside the lounge. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Anchorage Alaska. A new state for me (for the purposes of the game). This is my first cache here and it earned a favorite point. My trackables are all pictures atop the host. It’s inside the pictured post, hidden behind the red reflector. Took some looking as the coordinates were a bit off and there was no hint. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

SeaTac Airport, North Satellite Lounge.
My current Trackable collection is pictured looking down at the tarmac from the lounge.
I’ve previously logged this virtual many trips ago. It requires a selfie with some fish, along with a hand written note and is located in a different concourse. I’m using it here as a reference point. The trackables and I are excited about our trip today! Some of them have never flown before. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Lacey Washington, along a bike path.
This cache was hard to find as it had perfect camouflage for this time of year!
Can you spot it? Probably not, it’s nearly impossible to see. It’s the English Ivy at the bottom of that tree. A small part of it is fake and has an attached small cache. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

This was a Geocache event, not an actual cache. I had never been to one before. I added a few more trackables to my collection and had a good time there. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Pictures don’t come through on long posts, so here it is for the last one. Cache was a small whiskey sized container at the base of a dead tree. Had a frog attached to its top. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

Lacey Washington along a bike trail.
I did not intend to Geocache until later this week. But it’s such a nice end of summer day! This cache was in the pictured tree on the back side. About 40’ from where it coordinates show, but I replaced it as found. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app

SFO Airport, Concourse D, Alaska Lounge.
This is the final entry for this trip. The trackables wanted one last picture here. They are propped up by the fake fireplace; tarmac is in the background. Heading home. Will try to post again by Thursday. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app
