7 May 24 View Image Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 26 Apr 24 View Image Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mission accomplished! This Trackable has traveled with me for many miles and with pictures all along the way! Didn’t really want to leave it, but his mission is clear. This is where we will part ways. Good luck and happy travels! Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 26 Apr 24 View Image Minneapolis, Minnesota. This cache is a short walk from the Hilton I’m staying at. It was pretty cool and earned a favorite point from me. The cache container is concealed within some lumber at the foot of a retaining wall. It’s along the bike trail. They hallowed out a spot for the container to sit in. Just to the right of the picture. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 26 Apr 24 View Image SeaTac, Washington. “D”Concourse Lounge. My wife- “So, you are getting up at 4am and spending all that money to fly halfway across the country. Going to a place you’ve already been before-just to get a little happy face on a map!?!“ Me- It does sound rather ridiculous when you say it that way. But, yes. However, I do plan to get several happy faces, not just one and for the purposes of the game it will be a new state for me! I couldn’t find anyone to accompany me on this silly trip. 23 Apr 24 View Image Lacey, Washington. Several new caches have popped up around my home area and this is one of them. It’s a well camouflaged, clever hide and would prove difficult to a new cacher. It’s a piece of sheet metal on the backside of a sign, held on with magnets. It’s directly behind the pictured TBs. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 20 Apr 24 View Image Silver Falls State Park, Oregon. This cache was a fake birdhouse at a random spot along the side of the road. The TBs are pictured about a mile away at a scenic overlook within the park. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 20 Apr 24 View Image Silver Falls State Park, Oregon. This park is worthy of National Park status! We completed a 6 1/2 mile hike that included many beautiful waterfalls! The one pictured is at the site of a virtual cache. The TBs are on the post at ground zero but pictured in such a way as to not give away the answer to the question for credit. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 20 Apr 24 View Image Vancouver, Washington. This was done yesterday, no time to log it. A pit stop at a the rest area on our way to a weekend camping trip. The actual cache was a pill bottle in a cavity at the base of a tree. The TBs are pictured by the restroom about 200’ away. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app
15 Apr 24 View Image Olympia, Washington. This is a relatively new cache in my hometown. The TBs are pictured at the base of the tree at ground zero. The cache is a small bison tube. It’s about eye level and hidden within the tree moss. Nicely camouflaged. Can’t see the cache. I spotted the fishing line it’s attached to. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 7 Apr 24 View Image Anchorage, Alaska. This was a large cache container hidden within a very nice visitor center. The friendly staff, lots of information and all made it earn a favorite point from me. The TBs are pictured on the front counter. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 7 Apr 24 View Image Anchorage, Alaska. Stopping off in Anchorage to grab a few caches on the way back home. This one is a Virtual Cache to commemorate the Iditarod dog race. The trackables are pictured at ground zero. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 6 Apr 24 View Image Barrow, Alaska. The trackables are pictured on a memorial to Will Rogers, which is ground zero of a virtual cache here. Directly behind me is a rather interesting sign post with arrows pointing to various places around the globe. The arrows also notate the distance from up here. All are in the thousands of miles away from this remote outpost. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app
6 Apr 24 View Image Barrow, Alaska. I found a traditional cache and was FTF for 2024. In fact, none of the few caches up here have been found since last Fall. This one was a fake hollow bolt in the signpost. It’s located about 5’ above ground and above the snow line. It’s next to my bag of trackables that I’m holding. Completely frozen over Arctic Ocean is just behind me. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 6 Apr 24 View Image “GC 9D6C0 Whale Bone Arch Cache” Barrow, Alaska. Same cache and location note from yesterday. This is the whalebone arch I referenced in that write up. The Marquee landmark here. Arctic Ocean is directly behind me. The TBs are in the little bag in my hand on the arch. Too cold to get them out and didn’t want to chance losing them in the snow. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 6 Apr 24 View Image Picture for the prior post- “GC 9D6C0 Whale Bone Arch Cache” Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 5 Apr 24 View Image Anchorage, Alaska It’s 30*, snowing and about a foot of snow on the ground. Makes it far more difficult to cache. This one is a magnetic on the back of the brown post on the right. Time to head back to the airport for the next leg of the journey. 5 Apr 24 View Image Anchorage Alaska. We had a long layover which allowed me time to go find a few caches outside the airport boundary. This cache was at the base of a sign post. However, the Trackables are pictured about 1/3 mile away within the airport. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 5 Apr 24 View Image SeaTac, Washington. SeaTac airport, North Satellite Lounge. Got up at 4am to head out on a weekend adventure with my older son (my wife thinks this trip is dump). It is a rather silly trip. The sole purpose is to get some Geocaches and set a new record on my statistics page. I’m looking forward to the trip, having time with my son and going to a place I’ve never been before. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 1 Apr 24 View Image Olympia, Washington. I picked this TB up at a fire station. The cache was hidden under a fake rock. Its mission is to go North and I’ll be going as far as one can go. We will start our adventure later this week. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app 31 Mar 24 View Image Skating Reindeer
