BMW wheel arch trim embedded in my rear light You can see how the offside front of the BMW hit the rear nearside of my car. It left its wheel arch trim as its calling card, and a great big tyre mark on the bumper, which spun us round like a top. Our car bounced off the crash barriers as it spun, this all-round bodywork damage being what ultimately caused it to be written off by our insurers....

Damage from the spinning top bumping As you can see, the damage from the car being spun into the crash barriers was not that severe, but it was on all 3 quarters that had not been hit by the Beamer, the all round damage being uneconomical to repair. Amazingly, my two young sons slept through the entire crash - surely a testament to the build quality of this German marque.
