Visiting the historic First National Bank The bank was built in 1910 by Purcell & Elmslie, architects from Chicago, who were second only to Frank Lloyd Wright in number of commercial buildings built. Very cool carvings near the top not close enough for photo with us.

Oneida County passed the first zoning ordinance The county passed the first rural zoning ordinance in the United States - governing who can build what where - and stuff like "You can't store junk cars on your property." Not sure they'd be happy to know Fillmore and I are hanging around here!
