Ghost Net and Camelback Mountain!! The name of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, is derived from its shape, which resembles the hump and head of a kneeling camel. The mountain, a prominent landmark of the Phoenix metropolitan area, is located in the Camelback Mountain Echo Canyon Recreation Area between the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix and the town of Paradise Valley. It is a popular recreation destination for hiking and rock climbing.

Ghost Net & Thumb Butte, Prescott, AZ. Thumb Butte is a distinctive landmark just west of Prescott, AZ, and also a popular hiking destination. There are several trailheads, including one that gains about 600 feet in elevation in a little more than a mile with benches for resting and descriptive signs along the way.
This area has an interesting mixture of vegetation with ponderosa pine, pinyon pine, scrub oak, manzanita, yucca, and cactus. It is in the transition zone, between the desert to the south and conifer forests to the north.

Ghost Net in the Prescott National Forest. The Prescott National Forest is a 1.25 million-acre US National Forest located in north central Arizona in the vicinity of Prescott. The forest is located in the mountains southwest of Flagstaff and north of Phoenix in Yavapai County, with a small portion extending into southwestern Coconino County.
The Prescott Forest Reserve was established by the General Land Office on May 10, 1898. It was transferred to the U.S. Forest Service in 1906 and became a National Forest on March 4, 1907.

San Andreas Fault The San Andreas Fault is a continental transform fault that extends roughly 750 miles through California. It forms the tectonic boundary between the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate, and its motion is right-lateral strike-slip (horizontal). The fault divides into three segments, each with different characteristics and a different degree of earthquake risk. The slip rate along the fault ranges from 0.79 to 1.38 in/yr. It was formed by a transform boundary.

Crystal Springs Reservoir on the San Andreas Fault Crystal Springs Reservoir is a pair of artificial lakes located in the northern Santa Cruz Mountains of San Mateo County, California situated in the rift valley created by the San Andreas Fault just to the west of the cities of San Mateo and Hillsborough, and I-280. The lakes are part of the San Mateo Creek watershed.

Ghost Net w/Father Serra on the San Andreas Fault. JunÃpero Serra (11/24/1713 – 8/28/1784) was a Spanish Roman Catholic priest and missionary of the Franciscan Order. He is credited with establishing the Franciscan Missions in the Sierra Gorda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He later founded a mission in Baja California and the first nine of 21 Spanish missions in California from San Diego to San Francisco, in what was then Spanish-occupied Alta California in the Province of Las Californias, New Spain.

Ghost Net w/ Giant Jackrabbit, Joseph City, AZ. Jack Rabbit Trading Post’s Giant Rabbit is one of Arizona’s best roadside attractions. The huge fiberglass rabbit invites travelers to saddle up at this iconic Arizona Route 66 stop. Capturing a photo with the rabbit is so Insta-worthy that there’s an entire page dedicated to visitors’ images.
The outpost opened during the 1940s. It’s mainly known for its Wall Drug-style signage and “Here It Is” billboard. Some describe the Giant Rabbit as Route 66 kitsch at its finest.

Ghost Net on Route 66, Holbrook, AZ. Cherished for its roadside Americana charm, Holbrook, AZ, sits within the Painted Desert. From the whitewashed concrete and steel teepees in the Wigwam Village on Route 66, to the downtown courthouse visitor’s center which introduces you to other historical sites like the Bucket of Blood Saloon and the Blevins House, where a shootout between the gangsters and the sheriff occurred, the history of the people is more than matched by the geological wonders here, including the Petrified Forest.

Ghost Net with CY in Ames, IA. There are 30 6’ Cy Statues with different themes all around Ames, Iowa, the home to Iowa State University, and Central Iowa. A trip to Ames is not complete without getting a photo taken with at least one of them! Get in the CYCLONE spirit with CY!
This one celebrates Mexican heritage and was sponsored by Leadership Ames Class XXVII. The artists were Hugo Kenemer & Ben Nelson of Ames. It is located at the corner of 3rd Street and Sherman Avenue.

Lil' Hook I wanted to try out my new cell phone camera and took this picture. This is showing the strength of a small cubical magnet that I got from GaussBoys. The heavy travel bug is suspended by the magnet by way of a large steel ball bearing hung from a clothes closet rod. Cool eh?
