Yellow Dog learns to ride Blue Flame We had hoped to place Blue Flame in a TB hotel today and also reunite Yellow Dog with her long lost buddy Black Dog. We had some unexpected things to take care of at home today so we've had to delay our trip. I thought I'd try to make it up to YD by seeing if she would like to learn to ride a real cool bike! Like most dogs, she tried to get too fancy before she learned the basics! Better luck next time YD!

Load weigh station and adjustments. In the picture you can see the entrance to this mine. The scale house person sits in the upper area of the small building and weighs the trucks. They also have a small bucket, which is controlled inside the building, that they can add or remove some limestone to get the correct amount into the truck.

Mining Limestone As the limestone is removed the hole fills up with water. They use a machine that drills holes in the ground where they place explosive devices to break apart the rock. The machines in the picture then remove the rock which is under the water. From there it is halled by trucks to the crushers and sorter to piled according to the size of the stone. The dump trucks that haul the rock are loaded, weighed, and have the load adjusted to the correct amount before they deliver the rock. They typically
