This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Tractor Race Red Team is a Making Tracks Trackable Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable ItemIf you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

This little red tractor is part of a group of four mini tractors in a race to get to 20,000 km. Please help this tractor beat the others by moving it quickly and far to caches anywhere in the world.

Originally the race was first to 10,000km but Tractor Race Red Team was getting there too fast. Tractor Race Green has quickly caught up and passed Red with the help of active cachers "recckked coins". In fact, Green has reached 10,000 km before Tractor Race Orange Team has left the home cache! Onward to 20,000 km!!

UPDATE: On August 4, 2013 geocaching team "recckked coins" visited Tractor Race Green Team to a cache named "Halfway There" and breezed accross the finish line first. All tractors have moved and hopefully will continue to move. Let's see who crosses the line second, third and last....any bets?

UPDATE: On October 8, 2014 geocaher "petendot" moved Tractor Race Orange Team past the 20,000 km goal. This makes Orange Team the second tractor to cross the goal. Thank you everyone for keeping these tractors rolling!

UPDATE: As of May 6, 2015 Orange has taken the lead with 35,306 km and 326 logs and is in Michigan-United States. Green is in second place with 24,680 km and 138 logs and is in British Columbia-Canada. Red is in third with 11,403 km and 280 logs and is in Florida-United States. Yellow appears to be lost and is certainly in last place with only 605 km  and 12 logs - it was last seen in British Columbia-Canada.

UPDATE: On December 24, 2015 Orange is in Wisconsin-USA and solidly in the lead with 39,134 km and 453 logs. Green is in second place with 28,255 km and 139 logs. Red in third place and approaching the original finish line with 17,748 km and 287 logs. Green and Red are both in Ontario-Canada.  Yellow has  become lost after only 605 km and 12 logs.

UPDATE: As of August 2018 this race seems to be VERY over. Orange went missing in Wisconsin USA in 2016 in the lead at 39,651km  and 492 logs. Green went missing in Ontario in 2015 with 28,257km and 140 logs. Red may still exist but hasn't been logged since 2016 in Pennsylvania USA with 18,664km and 346 logs. Yellow went missing in British Columbia almost instantly with 604km and 12 logs. Will any tractors resurface? Maybe Red?
