5000 Finds Geo-Achievement Geocoin is a Geo-Achievement Finds 5,000 Geocoin Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.
If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

My Current Goal:
On November 17, 2012 we hit our 4000th milestone in memory of a dear geocacher friend Ricky Marshall AKA mitrustme. From that November 17, 2012 to August 31, 2013 us BUMS traveled 13321.2 miles for a thousand more caches to hit a big milestone of 5000!!! This month of August was suppose to be a hard one since it was Groundspeaks 31 days of August Challenge. Suprisingly on August 3, 2013, we hit 4800 in Brewton, AL on Bamaphotographer's cache Brewton Industrial Park. On August 17, 2013, also International Geocaching Day we hit 4900 in Crestview, FL on Eglin AFB Reservation at WeRTogether's cache Lost It At the Corner of 221 & 233. On August 31, 2013 us Bums hit our BIG MILESTONE of 5000 at WeRTogether's Whew! 31 Days of Geocaching is Now Complete!! Event. How fitting to finish 31 days of Geocaching and hit 3 Milestones also. As we were creating our 5000 Sign, we reflected back on the caches, cool places and the great cachers we got to see. We also thought about Ricky as we stamped around the number 5000 with the 3 sets of flip-flops stamp we found in one of his caches after his memorial. We were also privileged to share the 999 category with the BishopCrew and celebrate their 1,000 milestone at the same event as we hit our 5000 milestone. Thanks to everyone who hid caches, had events and cached with us. So many people to mention but you all know who you are. We are truly blessed with such great friends who happen to love the same hobby we do! Looking forward to 6000 and the memories and adventures that come with getting there!
