This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Edelweiss (Copy tag) is a Bernadette the Black Bear Travel Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

The original trackable went missing, so we made this copy tag.

We live in the Colorado Springs area, which is where, in August of 2013, a bear was caught on video making off with the dumpster behind the Edelweiss restaurant.  Not some of the food from the dumpster – the WHOLE dumpster.  If you haven’t seen the video, do an Internet search for Edelweiss Restaurant Bear Video and you will find it.  In honor of that very determined (and apparently hungry) bear, we are releasing this bear trackable, named Edelweiss.  Please move her to any cache, anywhere, although she is rather fond of areas near restaurants.  Please log where she goes on geocaching.com  Thanks !
