I received the news a week ago that my beloved Pluto has gone astray. The message went on to say that a Gnome had showed up on their doorstep shortly thereafter. Not only did this cute little Gnome show up out of nowhere he also wore a tag around his neck. On further inspection it was noticed that dog tag had the same numbers that Pluto once wore so proudly. The only explanation: this is Pluto - reincarnated. Had there been any doubt that something terrible might have happened I would have called Inspector Barnaby and asked that great team to investigate. This Gnome needed a name and Pluto was not the answer. His given name of Karl-Heinz was nice enough however not for the International traveler he was about to become. After much dicussion, the decision was made to change his name to simply Carl. The little Gnome protested the name change at first but now seems to like the fact that he is "Carl The International Traveler - Extraordinaire"

This cute little Gnome wants to travel the world in search of Caches near and far. Carl makes a wonderful traveling companion who brings merriment to all who should help him travel from Cache to Cache. Pictures and tales of his travels are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
