This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

5x5 Challenge Bug is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable ItemIf you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

This trackable would like to go to 5/5 caches -- 5 difficulty, and 5 terrain.  Details are below.

With many thanks to Sweet Tides Crew, this TB is still out and about in the geocaching world.  On January 14th, 2018, they found the The Big 4 Challenge (GC4RN1T) geocache; the area there had recently undergone a controlled burn, which helps the forest, and reduces the chances of wildfires getting out of control, threatening people, homes and businesses.

Unfortunately, that controlled burn did quite a number on the geocache, and the 3 trackables that were in it -- in the words of Sweet Tides Crew " ... were melted/burned into a mass."  Thankfully,  Sweet Tides Crew have worked their geo-magic, and the metal TB dog tag has been cleaned up enough to read the code and still bears some scorch marks, for genuine character of having survived the fire.  BIG HUGE THANKS to Sweet Tides Crew !!!

I am a Challenge Bug – which means that if you take me, you are challenged to meet my goal; and my goal is definitely not an easy one.  The first three characters in my 6 digit TB code are 5X5 and that is the challenge – move from 5 difficulty and 5 terrain cache to another 5x5 cache.  Are you up for the challenge?  (Take me and plan your next 5x5,  you know you want to ! )

5x5 only, please …  Of course, I don’t expect to move very often.  How quickly … is up to you …

Please log where I go on geocaching.com  Thanks !
