This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

The Great Blue Herons adventure (Hank the Heron) is a Community Volunteer Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

Hello Geocaching friend,

I trust that you are an avid bird watcher. And since you are a geocacher, I already know that you love the great outdoors and a good challenge. 

The Great Blue Heron brings messages of self-determination and self-reliance according to the North American Native tradition. I am also a symbol of prosperity and good fortune, since wherever I am there are fish near by.

I love a good fish dinner. I like almost all species of fish. I've been known to enjoy shrimp, turtles or frogs also, depending on where I am living.

Since I need to be around water, would you please bring me to your favorite pond, reservoir, lake, swamp or wetland. I will dine on the fine quisine there, then I'll be ready for you to send me on to the next place. It will be great to sample food from all over the world. I am getting quite tired of just trout and bass. 

If you could snap a selfie with me while we are there, that would be great!

Thank you for taking me on this great adventure! I've always dreamed of seeing the world. You are making all of my Great Blue Heron dreams come true.
