Celebrating 25 Years of Geocaching Geocoin is a Celebrating 25 Years of Geocaching Geocoin Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

Denne coin er den officielle coin, der fejrer vores geolegs 25 års jubilæum 2. maj 2025.

Den 2. maj 2000 blev det amerikanske GPS system, udviklet af det amerikanske militær, nedgraderet – kaldt ”Big Blue Switch Day”. Det gjorde det muligt for menigmand at anvende GPS systemet og allerede dagen efter, 3. maj 2000, blev første cache åbnet.

Herfra har sporten taget til i omfang , så der i dag er over 3 millioner gemte cache fra Nordpolen til Sydpolen, og i alle verdens lande - heriblandt i Danmark, hvor der er udlagt i omegnen af 35.000 cacher.  I 2018 blev der registreret mere end 30 millioner geocachere, der engagerede sig i denne spændende aktivitet.
