Garfield gets his kicks on ROUTE 66 is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

„Montag Morgen 9 Uhr und die Woche ist noch nicht rum!“
Unser Garfield durchlebt eine schwierige Zeit und es macht sich ein deutliches Burn Out bemerkbar. Johi66 + RaBe sind bereits dreimal die Route 66 von Chicago nach Los Angeles gefahren und jedes Mal durfte Garfield nicht mit. Er zweifelt nun an unserer Liebe und hadert mit seinem Leben: „Keiner liebt mich“. Selbst die Lasagne schmeckt ihm nicht mehr.
Aus diesem Grund haben wir beschlossen unser geliebtes Familienmitglied auf Reisen zu schicken, damit er wieder seine Lebenslust entdeckt und das Leben genießen kann.
Nun soll er sich von der norddeutschen Ostseeküste auf die abenteuerliche Reise in das Land der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten machen. Hierfür muss er erstmal zu einem Cache in der Nähe eines Flughafens (z.B. Hamburg oder Frankfurt am Main) in der Hoffnung, dass ihn ein lieber Mensch mit in die USA nimmt. Dort angekommen soll er sich schnellstmöglich auf den Weg nach Chicago machen, denn dort beginnt an der Kreuzung W. Adams St. / S. Michigan Ave die eigentliche Reise. 4500 Kilometer soll er nun über die Route 66 reisen, unvergessliche Abenteuer erleben und amerikanische Geheimtipps für Lasagne entdecken. Mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht wird er dann irgendwann hoffentlich Santa Monica erreichen, wo der alte Highway offiziell endet. Wenn Garfield in Santa Monica angekommen ist, freuen wir uns, wenn er auf schnellstem Wege wieder zurück an die Ostsee reist, damit wir ihn wieder in unsere Arme schliessen können.

NOBODY LOVES ME …
„Monday morning 9 o'clock and the week is not finished!“
Our Garfield lives through a difficult time and it becomes apparent a clear Burn Out. Johi66 + RaBe have already driven three times the route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles and every time Garfield was not allowed to come along. Now he doubts our love and quarrels with his life: „Nobody loves me“. Even the lasagna does not taste to him any more.
That's why we have decided to send our beloved member of the family on travelling, so that he discovers his joy of living again and can enjoy the life.
Now he should come along from the North German Baltic coast on the adventurous trip in the country of the boundless possibilities. For this he has to go first in the nearness of an airport (e.g., Hamburg or Frankfurt am Main) in hope that a kind person takes him to the USA. When Garfield arrives there he should come along as quickly as possible on the way to Chicago, because there the real trip begins at the crossroad W. Adams Street / S. Michigan Ave. Now a trip of 4500 kilometres on the famous route 66 wait for him, he will experience unforgettable adventures and discover the best lasagna of the USA. Then with a smile in the face he will hopefully reach Santa Monica where the old highway officially ends. If Garfield has arrived Santa Monica, we would be glad if he travels on the quickest way again back to the Baltic Sea, so that we can close him again in our arms.
