This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Beautiful New York TB is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

To travel around to remind cachers everywhere that there is a lot more to New York State than New York City.

As shown on this tag, the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains in New York are just as beautiful when dressed in their autumn colors as the better-known mountains in our neighbor state Vermont.  We also have wonderful ocean, river and lake beaches.  There are great hiking trails in the many forests and preserves.  We not only have two of the Great Lakes on our border, but also the Finger Lakes (and the nearby "gorgeous gorges"), Lake George, which has been called the "Queen of American Lakes", and many other smaller beautiful lakes all over the State.
