Hroðgar's Tribute — Residential (Amberel Top Cache geocoin) is a Amberel TOP CACHE geocoin Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

The ancient bards tell of a mystical coin, crafted by the artisan Amberel for the court of Hroðgar. As a reward for ridding his realm of a terrifying monster and its evil mother, Hroðgar awarded the coin to the conquering hero from Geatland. However, in later years this coin was lost to a rampaging Wyrm, which added the coin to its underground hoard of treasure.

Heroes occasionally come in search of the Wyrm's treasure and seek out this coin. However, out of respect for that first Geatish hero, all are requested please to leave Hroðgar's coin for future adventurers to discover — if it ever were taken, the Wyrm's fury knows no bounds

Along the lines of the residential geocoin of Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate, discovery of this coin isn't quite as straightforward as you'd expect, although it isn't as much extra effort as Charon's Obol! When you have found the Wyrm's treasure, simply drop down another 6 feet or so — do not go down any further! — and have a look around. No special equipment is required, just a keen eye. Please replace exactly as found.
