My Current Goal:

My mother died in 2004 from breast cancer and in 2008 I began to make a difference in finding a cure for breast cancer by participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the Cure 60 mile walks. After my first 3-day 60 mile walk, my life was changed due to the incredible people I walked and shared stories with, with the most amazing people being the survivors who showed so much courage, focus and determination to help find a cure. This new passion has led me to the commitment to walk in all fifteen national 3-day walks in 2011. In honor and dedication to my mother, my daughter designed a Breast Cancer Awareness geocoin, that I will place in a cache in each city that I walk in 2011. Including the last walk of 2010 in San Diego, where this is starting, my goal is to have 16 of these coins moving about the USA in an effort to bring breast cancer awareness to fellow geocachers. The final mission of this coin is make its way back to San Jose, CA, where I hope to retrieve all coins for my remembrance of a truly wonderful 2011. Please help keep this coin moving and on its way back to San Jose, CA. Thank you.
