My Current Goal:

My mission is to search my roots. For the Malamute roots in Alaska we travel to the Bering Straits where the Inuit crossed, when the tribes migrated East from the cold barren lands of Siberia. Dogs and sleds were essential to their way of life. The name Malamute applies to the regional dialect of the Alaskan Inupiaq Eskimos. The Malamute speaking tribes eventually settled in the Northeastern area of the Seward Peninsula. The Alaskan Malamute inuit tribe: the Mahlemuts, today known as Kuuvangmiut or Kobuk people live near the Golf of Kotsebue/Kotzebue Sound and the Nortonbay. My Labrador roots bring me to Greenland an the Northwest of Newfoundland.
