This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Bead-The Flat Tan Wood TB is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable ItemIf you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

This trackable is unusual for its longevity. In the five-year period, 2010-14, a total of 1721 travel bugs were released in the United States (95%) and Europe (5%). This travel bug is one of the 3% of the total that survived for at least 5 years and had been moved at least 25 times.  As of 20-Jun-19, this particular travel bug had been in circulation for 5.9 years and had been moved by 31 cachers.

Please drop it in rural OR Premium Member Only caches.  Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event.  Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items.  Otherwise, take the travel bug anywhere you wish.  No permission is needed to leave the U.S.

Travel bug photos are appreciated and will be re-posted here.
