This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Smokey Bear 75 year Tag is a Smokey Bear Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

This cache is in remembrance of my working for the Forest Service for about 5 years.  I worked as a Radio Operator for these 5 years plus one year as a Personnel time recorder at Trout Lake, WA (Cascade Creek Fire), near Mt Adams where you will find one of my caches that is still in place.

I enjoyed the Forest Service time I worked. I had many call outs over the 5 Years I was working. I got a chance to travel a little, got to Florida (The Everglades) and to Texas and to Colorado.

On top of that I did a lot of fires in Oregon. Which includes Hoodoo Ski Lodges fire and the north and South Umpqua river fires

I resigned in 2018 after the South Umpqua fire.

I would recommend that anyone who is interested look into the Forest Service.  The job I had was not hard, the hours are long, and sleep is at a premium.

When I first placed this cache, it includes a travel bug. To commemorate the 75 years of Forest Service.

Attached to a Poker chip for no particular reason.

If you are first to find enjoy the cache and the Travel Bug and move it along.
