This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

P88's South Pole Benchmark Geocoin is a South Pole Benchmark Geocoin Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

I'm more of a northern hemisphere guy but I sure like the idea of traveling to the south pole. Apparently the pole shifts quite a bit as the ice is always moving. By my calculations, the survey marker erected in January 2001 that this coin commemorates may be as much as 100 meters off. Wouldn't it be fun to find out? Let this coin head south. And then more south. All the way south. Always moving south. Let's see it make it to the south pole. Whereever that may be when it gets there. Stranger things have happened.
