This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Grandpa is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

I never really got to know my grandfather. He died when I was really young. My only memory of him before he got sick was when I was 3 yrs. old. It was my birthday party and I was playing with Barbies. He sat next to me with a huge smile on his face. I didn't know who he was in my childish mind, but now I know. He was a school bus driver, a driving school teacher, a fireman, a police man, and was in the military. I only have pictures to show who he used to be. He came from a German family. Therefore I thought his route should go like this: Somewhere by Tottenville Staten Island NY because he used to live there and had his children there. Then I would like him to travel around Germany for a bit. I think he would like that. After Germany, take him wherever you think he should go. Maybe let him see every country. Take a look in the locket and tell him some of your stories. Keep him in your heart and let him go on an adventure that he's never been on. Please of course, include photos of his adventures. I would love to see. I'm sending him out with a companion so he won't be alone in the cache boxes waiting to be discovered. Please don't separate the two.
