This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Chimera is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable ItemIf you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

chimera

The Chimera (pron.: /kɨˈmɪərə/ or /kˈmɪərə/; Greek:) was, according to Greek mythology, a monstrous fire-breathing female creature composed of the parts of three animals - a lion, a serpent and a goat.

This travel bug has a funny story attached to it. I picked this out to be a travel bug not knowing what it was exactly but found it to be interesting. During my research I found out it was a creature named Chimera which happens to be the road that we live on and a subject of debate in our household. The wife thinks it should be pronounced like the word chicken is while I say its pronunciation should be closer to the word kite. Guess who was right! This bug has no goal but to accompany us on our travels throughout our geocaching adventures.
