This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Butterflys are free is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable Item If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

This Bug is in a race to hit every one of the fifty states of the United States, since I do not travel much I thought I might get to see the US through pictures that might be uploaded with it. Please pass it along and if you would, take scenic pictures of its travels.
