This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Hike Wisconsin is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

Trackable ItemIf you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

PLEASE SEE APRIL 2014 UPDATE!  DO NOT DROP THIS IN ANOTHER CACHE! IT SHOULD TRAVEL FROM GEOCACHER TO GEOCACHER!!!

I love Wisconsin, therefore this travel bug's mission is to stay within the state to explore all the wonderful caches Wisconsin has to offer. I'm also hoping to get some great photos of the beautiful Wisconsin hiking trails along the way.

August 2012 Update:

WOW! This pretty little shoe has traveled over 15,000 miles....way past Wisconsin...She's been to 12 different states, even Hawaii!....HOW EXCITING IS THAT??!!  I'm not sure that she will be content staying in Wisconsin anymore....we may have to adjust her goal to visit EVERY state! Here is a list of states she has BEEN to:

Hawaii
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Michigan
Nebraska
New Jersey
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Texas
Virginia
Wisconsin

So, if you are headed to a different state not on the list, feel free to distract  our little Wisconsinite and let her roam!

Thank you to everyone for taking such good care of her! She's excaped muggles, natural disasters, and getting lost!

APRIL 2014 UPDATE********Oh my goodness! After over a year and a half of silence my Hike Wisconsin resurfaces! It has traveled to ST LUCIA and has over 18,000 miles! Woo hoo! It is way too cool to risk losing in a muggled cache after all this time, so I would like to change its mission...or it's mode of travel...please DO NOT DROP it in a cache! Please log it as visiting some geocaches with you, then let another responsible geocacher grab it from you and visit some more caches...until they let another grab it...that way it will always be safe! If possible, please attach a note to it as a reminder! :) what do you say? Will you help it on its mission to stay ACTIVE and SAFE??? Thanks!!
