This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Route 66 TB return to Jacksonville Florida is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

Since it's mission to make it to Santa Monica pier was completed by cacher charliealexanderr,  I would  like to see if it can make its way back home to Jacksonville Florida. Made it From Jacksonville FL to the Santa Monica pier (2 1/2 year travel)

Since I named this travel bug after the famous U.S. Route 66 I see it only fitting to send it westward to California like many did in the 1930s seeking a better life and escaping the dust bowl. I know Florida is a long way from California but lets give it a try and see what happens. Please feel free to take and post pictures of unique places or interesting things you may encounter on its journey. Good luck
