This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Flappie is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

Flappie loves to travel. To explore the world he aims to 'collect' as much as possible World Heritage Sites.  

The World Heritage List includes 936 properties forming part of the cultural and natural heritage which the World Heritage Committee considers as having outstanding universal value.These include 725 cultural , 183 natural  and 28 mixed  properties in 153 States Parties. As of June 2010, 187 States Parties have ratified the World Heritage Convention ( http://whc.unesco.org/en/list ) 

Flappie does not necessarily to be placed on the exact location of a WHS, a cache in the vicinity or in the region will do! ( for example: near the Bamiyan region in Afghanistan or at the Waddenzee in the Netherlands.. ) Flappie did start his journey in Kiev ( home for the Sophia Cathedral & the Lavra Complex) and is curious what his next site will be!

Het materieel werelderfgoed bestaat sinds de 35e sessie van de Commissie (2011) uit 936 werelderfgoederen, waarvan 183natuurerfgoed (N), 725 cultuurerfgoed (C) en 28 als een combinatie van beide: gemengd erfgoed, (C|N). Er staan 35 werelderfgoederen op de lijst van bedreigd werelderfgoed, omdat ze als werelderfgoed gevaar lopen om in hun waarde aangetast te worden door bijvoorbeeld bebouwing, ontbossing, oorlog e.d. De 936 werelderfgoederen liggen verspreid over 153 landen. De Werelderfgoedconventie is door 187 van de 193 bij UNESCO aangesloten landen geratificeerd.

Het is niet noodzakelijk dat Flappie zich verplaatst naar de exacte lokatie van een site. Een cache in de nabijheid ( b.v in de regio of in een natuurgebied ) voldoet! Flappie is zijn reis begonnen in Kiev ( thuisbasis van de Sofia Kathedraal & het Lavra Complex ) en is benieuwd wat zijn volgende bestemming zal zijn!
