This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

99 Luftballons is a Travel Bug Dog Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

My Current Goal:

This cache is named after the popular song by german singer Nena. She hit it big while I was stationed in Krabbenloch Kaserne in Ludwigsburg in old West Germany. I was station with B Company in the 34 Singnal Bat. i was nicknamed the "Hofbrau Kid". Everything about that unit and my Kaserne are all gone now. The unit was deactivated during the frist Iraq war and the Kaserne was tore down after Germany became one and our military mission there was done. I was station there from 1983-1985. I miss many friends we spent many days at the water tower near the Kaserne and at COSMO. I am hoping this TB will make it to that area.
